Customer Support Center

Changing the Password of your Account

Note: Whenever you change your password, please send an email to billing@midairdesign.com with the domain name, userid and the old and new passwords. We use passwords to verify identity, and we will need to update our customer database to authenticate future administrative requests. If the password is changed and we are not notified our automated backup system will not be able to correctly back up your site for protection!

You may change the master password of your account via telnet.  All accounts created after 11-20-99 have telnet initially disabled. We will enable telnet on these accounts upon customer request.

We have a step by step tutorial on using the telnet program that is built into Windows95 and NT. Click here to view it.

At the telnet prompt, type:

passwd

You will be prompted for the old password and then the new password, followed by a prompt to reconfirm the new password.

This changes the password you use to login via telnet and ftp. It will also affect access to the masteruserid's mailbox.

Please note again: Whenever you change your password, please send an email to billing@midairdesign.com with the domain name, userid and the old and new passwords. We use passwords to verify identity, and we will need to update our customer database to authenticate future administrative requests.
